Dr. Nejat TAMZOK
Dr. Nejat Tamzok was born in Bartın-Amasra-Türkiye. After graduating from high school, he studied for one year in the Physics, Mechanical Engineering and Journalism departments. He then received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Mining Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University and his doctorate from the Political Science and Public Administration Department of the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University. Dr. Tamzok, who is also a graduate of the History Department of Anadolu University, is a student at the International Relations Department of the Faculty of Economics at the same university.
He worked at the Turkish Coal Enterprises between 1985 and 2023, serving as the Planning Director and Strategic Planning Coordinator.
Dr. Nejat Tamzok, who took part in the construction of numerous engineering projects throughout his career, served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Mining Journal, a refereed publication of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of Türkiye, between 2016-2023. He currently writes columns on energy and mining on enerjigunlugu.net, eurasiareview.com and enerjipolitik.com news sites.
He is a member of the Chamber of Mining Engineers, the Turkish National Committee of the World Mining Congress, the Turkish National Committee of the World Energy Council and the METU Alumni Association. 08.02.2025.
